In our business, we sort scrap metal into two categories: ferrous and non-ferrous. Shredding reduces the bulk of scrap metals such as appliances, cars, and other thin metals. After the waste has been separated into ferrous and non-ferrous metals, it is subjected to blowers and reverse magnets for final purification. Then, the metal is sold to steel mills or smelters, which are used to create new steel or non-ferrous metals.
